At Ability 2 Autonomy, we’re always looking for new ways to support our participants beyond the everyday.
That’s why we’re excited to start introducing social and community groups! We are wanting to create more opportunities to get out, meet new people, build confidence, explore interests and, most importantly, have some fun!
Our groups will be relaxed, welcoming and inclusive, with different activities and experiences designed around the interests of our participants. There’s no pressure to be the most social person in the room, come along, participate in a way that feels comfortable for you, and enjoy being part of the group.
Women's Night is all about creating a relaxed and welcoming space for women to connect, try something new and enjoy a night together. Each Women's Night will have a different theme, with activities, food and plenty of opportunities to socialise.
There's no pressure and no expectations. Join in with everything, choose the activities that interest you, have a chat and meet new people, or simply enjoy being part of the group.
Our friendly A2A workers will be there throughout the evening to provide support and make sure everyone feels comfortable, included and able to participate. If you already have your own support worker, they're more than welcome to come along too.
Transport may also be available, including pick-up and drop-off, for an additional cost. Speak with our team when booking and we can discuss what you need.
Women's Night is designed to be fun, but there are plenty of opportunities to build skills along the way. In a supportive group environment, participants can build capacity by working on social confidence, communication, making connections, decision-making, independence and community participation while actually enjoying themselves.
Depending on your NDIS plan, available funding and individual support needs, Women's Night may be funded through:
• Core – Assistance with Social & Community Participation
• Capacity Building – Increased Social & Community Participation
• Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living Skills
Not sure what funding you have available?
Have a chat with our team and we can help you understand which funding may be suitable for the group.
Running low on funding? Talk to us!
We want our groups to be accessible and inclusive. If funding is a barrier, please get in touch - we're happy to discuss your circumstances and see what options may be available.

Location: At our new office! 12/89 Lewis Rd, Wantirna South, VIC 3152

We'll be spending the evening getting creative with a Halloween painting, making and enjoying spooky mocktails, sharing snacks and treats, and settling in together for a Halloween movie.
Come dressed up if you feel like it - we will be!
We have more groups and activities to come, and we want our participants to have a say in what we create next.
Have an idea for a group you'd love to see?
We'd love to hear it! Get in touch with the A2A team and tell us what you’re interested in. Your idea might just become our next group 💜
