A short preamble about myself, Matt J A Carter.

Born in 1971 in Victoria, Australia.

My background is in Art and Design, with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

The aim of this book was to describe my ASD diagnosis, it took me a very long time to contextualise it and to unravel my thinking in regards to it.

I joined an online writing class over the pandemic period, it got a little out of hand with writing content.

The notes of my musing manifested into this book and it expanded into a memoir that took me three years.

The audience for this is mostly myself, or anybody else interested in the ups and downs of a late ASD or ADHD diagnosis and those dealing with those conditions.

It's a multimedia book talking about philosophy and my art, as if I'm speaking to a theoretical younger version of myself.

Matthew enjoys experimenting with flash and infrared photography, as well as exploring composition.

His photography journey began several years ago when he joined a local photography group. He found the experience both engaging and educational, quickly developing a strong understanding of the technical aspects of photography, particularly in working with flash and colour correction in various lighting environments.
